The very first creation of motorcycle was made by Willam Harley and Arthur Davidson last 1903 which resulted to Harley-Davidson. The motobike that was built was a racing bike. It was produced in a small shed wooden labeled Harley-Davidson Motor Company on the front door. After one year they produced 3 motorcycles for the public. V Rod Muscle Exhaust
When Harley-Davidson won the 1st race last 1905, they hired their first employee. Three years later, in 1908, Harley-Davidson sold the first motorcycle to be utilized in police service to the Detroit Police Department. H-D built 6 story factory in 1912 then started to export their first bikes to Japan.
H-D entered the national racing circuit in 1914 and became referred to as “the wrecking crew”. Harley-Davidson then started to sell their motorcycles to the Military in 1917.
In 1918, half of the bikes were shipped to Germany and became the military service in World War. It was actually Corporal Roy Holts, the first soldier that used the H-D motorcycle. 1920 signifies the year that the motorcycle company is the biggest in the world in the motorcycle industry, and has over 2,000 dealers in 67 countries worldwide.
1931 is the year that almost all of Harley’s competitors are gone, with the exception of the Indian Motorcycle Company. The Indian and Harley-Davidson motorcycle company were the only two remaining motorcycle companies.
As being the world gets into into World War 2, so does Harley turn back into Military motorcycle creation, and the service school is turned back into the military motorcycle service school, also known as the Quartermaster School for military mechanics. The Harley-Davidson Motorcycle were hardly reached out by the public during this time.
